Yesterday I made my way to The Bankside Gallery in London to attend the preview of the International Original Print Exhibition: The Royal Society of Painter-Printmakers' premier exhibition.
I was so thrilled to have my linocut "The Reading Corner" chosen for this exhibition by a selection panel made up of the following:
Nicola Hicks MBE (Artist & President, the Artists' General Benevolent Institution)
Sophie Heath (Director, Sidney Nolan Trust)
Leonie Bradley (Artist & Editor, Printmaking Today)
David Ferry (RE president)
Marianne Ferm (RE Vice President)
We were treated to inspiring opening speeches by David Ferry PRE & Nicola Hicks MBE, and an incredibly diverse and intriguing range of printmaking on show. I felt truly honoured to be included and feeling full of inspiration today, back in my studio. Thanks all! And here's to celebrating all the successes, no matter how big or small!
This exhibition is now open to the public. You can catch it at the Bankside Gallery in London (next to the Tate Modern!) until 6th November. And you can also view the works on the Royal Society of Painter-Printmakers website.
