SECOND - Between Rock and Sky
SECOND - these is a misprint which has not been included in the final edition and has been reduced in price accordingly. Please compare photos 2 with photo 1, which is the original edition.
It's very subtle - but I missed printing a very pale yellow early on in the reduction process. So there is a very slight yellow glow missing from the sky and reflection on the rocks.
Handmade, limited edition linocut of the stunning dark rock formations along the South West Coast Path near the border of North Devon and Cornwall.
This is an original linocut, handprinted from my home workshop in North Devon. It is a fourteen-layer reduction print - which is a method of printmaking where only one block of lino is used to print from. You cut away more from the block each time and then print on top of the previous colour.
Please note, I have tried my best to photograph the artwork in such a way that its true colours come across, but please be aware that colour will vary slightly from screen to screen. Also, since this work is handprinted, there are natural variances and minor imperfections in each print, which adds to the handmade charm and unique nature of the linocut.
